What is iCAP?

The iBuild Carpentry Apprenticeship Program (iCAP) is a four-year apprenticeship program that provides training on the jobsite and two nights of classroom instruction. The classroom instruction is based around the public school schedule meaning there are two semesters per year with holidays, winter break, spring break, and summer break off. We use NCCER, the leader in construction training, education, workforce development and accreditation, for our curriculum while constantly adjusting for industry needs. Upon completion of the program, grant participants will not only receive their journeyman’s card but also have the skills to work in a variety of craft trades and sectors within the construction industry.
